The ”Division of Informatics” fosters highly skilled digital professionals with expertise in information science and technology, management, informatics, and data science. These professionals contribute to the advancement of Digital Transformation (DX) by addressing 21st-century challenges and creating sustainable and prosperous regional communities.

Diploma Policies (Policies on academic degree conferment)
Graduates will be able to:
- acquire advanced specialized knowledge and skills in information science and technology, management and informatics, and data science, enabling them to support the development of sustainable and prosperous regional communities and contribute to DX.
- develop interdisciplinary thinking and practical skills that foster a high level of independence and creativity in relation to DX.
- gain the communication skills needed to promote collaboration with diverse individuals and advance interdisciplinary cooperation related to DX.
- demonstrate the ethical standards expected of highly skilled digital professionals who contribute to DX.

Curriculum Policies (Curriculum to achieve academic/educational target)
- The program offers a curriculum centered on DX promotion, enabling students to acquire advanced specialized knowledge and skills in information science and technology, data science, and management.
- Foundational courses across a broad range of academic fields, together with interdisciplinary advanced courses, are provided to develop interdisciplinary thinking and practical skills essential for DX.
- Practical problem-solving skills are fostered through the effective use of IT technologies and data, in collaboration with internships, researchers, and practitioners both inside and outside the university.
- Courses are offered to develop communication skills, social implementation skills, and ethical standards required to apply advanced research outcomes to societal issues.

Division of Informatics
Interdisciplinary course and program introduction
This division comprises three interdisciplinary programs. Each program’s curriculum is composed of common literacy courses offered across the graduate school, interdisciplinary courses specific to the Division of Informatics, and specialized courses for each program.
