(Guidelines of the Utsunomiya University Home Page)

Public Relations Committee of Utsunomiya University approved the following on September 24, 1997

  1. In view of the importance of rigid distinction between the information offered by the University in its capacity as a public organization on the one hand and that which is offered by its individual members on the other, the former must be presented with the specification of the name of the responsible department/section or the title of the responsible individual. Individual users' home pages must be segregated from other information in the network in order that they should be easily recognized as personal pages.
  2. As part of the universitys scheme for the use of the Internet as one of its official means of public relations, the department/section or individual that acts as a source of information to be presented in the university website should assume the responsibility of its control. Each item of information, therefore, must be presented with a contact address. Any complaint or request brought to the administrator of a web page will be notified to the department/section in control of the information to which it concerns. The Public Relations Committee should be concerned with the minimum and necessary coordination among organizations and/or individuals participating in the Utsunomiya University Home Page.
  3. The making and updating of a home page and the control of information are at the discretion of the department/section or individual that acts as the source of the information in question.
