My name is Agung Prasetyo, I am an Indonesian. Utsunomiya city is a very good place with good weather in all seasons, good accessibility with many beautiful places to visit, and a relatively moderate living cost compared to other places. Starting as a research student for six months then continuing as a graduate student in the Faculty of Agriculture of Utsunomiya University has enriched my experience to the Japanese culture and study environment. Pursuing study here is one of the best decisions in my life due to good support facilities and the academic community which has been very helpful for me to finish my study on time. I'm sure, when you come here to study, comfort, focus and passion will be yours. A good University situated in the proper city. That's all my feelings.

Department of Agrobiology and Bioresources

This department provides education in the development and application of biological resources using production technology as well as advanced science and technology, which are in harmony with a given ecosystem. The educational programs are focused on the sustainability and productivity of the crops, livestock and other biological resources, and the improvement of new biological functions.

Department of Applied Biological Chemistry

Students approach various scientific issues associated with life science, food and environment from such aspects as material dynamics and chemistry. They will be able to contribute to society based on practical abilities for problem identification and solving in a wide range of fields.

Department of Environmental Engineering

Our department's scope lies in rural areas and agriculture. We set our research and education goal to support the realization of a harmonious sustainability society with advanced agricultural production, amenities in rural life, and a rich eco-environment. The department provides you with a variety of education and research opportunity in engineering as well as other scientific disciplines such as biology and social sciences as supporting subjects. Students may choose one of the following courses : 1. Soil and Water Environmental Engineering Course, 2. Food Production Systems Engineering Course.

Department of Agricultural Economics

As the only humanities department under the faculty of agriculture, this department examines, and conducts education and research on issues related to food, agricultural and agricultural land from a liberal arts perspective. Students are exposed to a broad base of knowledge which equips them to deal with a range of fields including those of production, processing, distribution, trade, consumption analysis, food and agricultural policy, environmental problems and regional society, and history. Developing the spirit of "Self-Motivated Learning, Self-Driven Thought" this department fosters individuals who are ready to contribute to society in a wide range of fields.

Department of Forest Science

This defining characteristic of this department is its teaching of forestry production and environmental preservation through an integrated approach to learning about forestry development, management, production and use. Classes cover a wide range of subjects ranging from natural science to the humanities and heavily emphasize the use of teaching forests, creating powerful technicians in the forestry field.

Graduate School of Agriculture

In the Graduate School of Agriculture, students delve more deeply into the fundamentals they learned and researched as undergraduates and pursue specialized research leading to careers as specialists. A Master's degree is awarded upon completion of a course of study limited to two years. Some subjects include lectures and experiments conducted cooperatively with outside research facilities, enabling students to carry out advanced research work. Students aiming to become future researchers can also advance to the doctoral program.
